US Senator Gary Peters sought out the GTAMC during a busy day in Northern Michigan, to meet with several regional manufacturing companies and learn more about the their recent achievements and challenges. Following the workshop, the group toured the TBAISD Career Technical Center’s recent $3.5million/ 10,000 sg ft expansion, which includes TC’s nationally recognized Manufacturing Technology Academy, https://www.tbactc.org/programs/manufacturing-description.asp.
Senator Peters, a strong supporter of Career Tech education, recently led the fight for the bi-partisan S-3217/HR-2353, to improve career development for Career Tech instructors, which was signed into law by the President in July 2018.
