NextCycle Michigan is a program of EGLE’s, with development and implementation support from RRS, Centrepolis Accelerator, and Michigan Recycling Coalition, that continues the state’s work toward the highest and best use practices for ALL materials: recyclables, organics, solid waste, and other material types. EGLE is hosting a webinar to explain the function of a business incubator, instruct how to participate in NextCycle Michigan, and present examples of businesses that benefitted from participating in a similar program.
Each ton of material that is recycled or re-used, as opposed to being landfilled, has the potential to create new jobs in Michigan. Recycling and recovery jobs could bring in an additional $9 billion dollars in labor income to our state each year. It is important for the state, as a whole, to work together, as each sector involved in materials management, from facilities to municipalities, will play a key role in the success of Michigan’s materials management efforts.
At the core, NextCycle Michigan is a business incubator, ready to nurture ideas for recycling technology, material collection and processing infrastructure, organics recovery, and recovered material end markets (including recycled content use in road construction).
Join EGLE and partners on this webinar to hear about NextCycle and learn how other businesses have benefited from being a participant in NextCycle and the incubator we provide.
